I currently work PRN at Centennial Medical Center on 5 tower, which is a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This unit has provided me with firsthand patient care experience that highlights the complexity of cardiac patient care. Many of the patients on my current floor are post CABG, ablation, heart cath, and even LVAD recoveries. I am interested in further pursing a nursing career in cardiac care (PCU/CVICU) as a newly practicing BSN/RN upon graduation from Belmont University. I also have experienced a wide range of patient care specialties from my nursing school clinicals (ICU, oncology, med-surg, mental health, OB, pediatrics).
