Morgana Faye

Morgana Faye is a determined aspiring editor seeking opportunities to showcase capabilities for the Blog Editor position at River Styx. Morgana is an organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities for various magazines in a timely matter. Despite the main priority being in editing, Morgana is willing to take on added responsibilities in a different position (graphic design) to meet team goals. Ultimately, every day is a learning opportunity to develop skills and confidence, to grow alongside every ambitious projects undertaken.

Juggled multiple assignments in a timely manner:

Wingless Dreamer

- Judged, curated, drafted, and edited manuscript of literary contest Night Worship for official publication

- Learned to create educational Youtube videos

Vellichor Literary Magazine

- Participated in one of the fastest-growing literary magazines (~10k in roughly four months; had joined them in April)

- Submitted six illustrations for them

+ two for Ephemerality, + two for Gaea and + two for Samsara

Kindergarten Magazine

- Wrote a variety of material for their monthly themes

+ June: Obsession (The Shadows of Dark Romance) - article

+ July: Adventure (Dissonance) - short story

+ August: Sin (currently working on the piece) - short story/poem hybrid

Iceblink Literary

- Organized a spreadsheet tracking ~158 submissions

- Reviewed and assessed 48 prose submissions

Three Panels Press

- As the only designer (so far), I handled designing content just in my first few weeks of joining the team:

+ Reminders to submit (3 Days Left to Submit) and read issue one: Triptych

+ Call outs to a poet from an interview and EIC's Q&A blog

+ Post updating status of submissions (team reading them over)

+ Designed submission layout for Triptych

All of this (and more) are volunteer work done within 3-4 months (started working in the lit mag sphere beginning of April)
