Summary

A recent graduate from the University of South Florida(May 4th) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Unique and innovative problem-solving is a strong suit of mine, combined with a consistent hunger for learning and growth, both personally and professionally. R&D is currently (CARRT- Center for Assistive Rehabilitation & Robotics Technologies) where I work with a team of students and professors to develop assistive technologies for those in need (from robotics to machine learning to biomechanics). Currently, I am taking the Codecademy course for Python, as well as studying for the Electrical Engineering FE test.

Center for Assistive Rehabilitation & Robotics Technologies

  • Worked with a group of 2-3 other students to create a universally adaptable assistive device for wheelchairs, enabling individuals with disabilities to effortlessly press elevator buttons and scan cards
  • This device seamlessly integrates mechanical, electrical, and software design to fully automate a multifaceted tool that can be operated using joystick controls or voice commands
  • Since the inception of the project, multiple iterations have been made to improve the casings, enhance PCB (Printed Circuit Board) efficiency, and refine the software's ease of use.

Mechanical Engineer Intern

Custom Engineering & Manufacturing
01.2021 - 01.2023
  • Collaborated with a team of engineers to develop an exoskeleton designed to mitigate injuries from bearing heavy loads in work applications
  • During the process of prototyping the system, I acquired expertise in mechanical design processes and protocols, including simulation testing, work instructions, wiring, and manufacturing skills and considerations
  • The team diligently worked to incorporate OSHA testing standards and accommodate a broad range of muscle and size capacities, from the 5th percentile of women to the 95th percentile of men.

Student Club

Society of Aeronautics & Rocketry
01.2020 - 01.2022
  • Collaborated with a team of students to develop a Level 3 rocket for the Tripoli NASA Student Launch, encompassing aerostructures, avionics, payload, and propulsion systems
  • I gained expertise in implementing designs into OpenRocket software, developing a functional gimbal system for camera stability, and utilizing an online software called Wokwi to organize and test electrical designs and software implementation in C/C++
