· Reviewing applications for insurance and determining their acceptability or otherwise in line with company policy.
· The signing of motor insurance certificates and other cover notes.
· Ensuring timely monthly processing of all renewed and new business following the set underwriting standard.
· Endorsing policies as required and communicating the same to customers.
· Liaising with insurance premium financiers to ensure timely settling of premium.
· Reviewing proposal forms and resetting benefits and premiums where necessary.
· Assisting new and existing direct clients in the understanding of company products.
· Liaising with bancassurance officers in my region in the provision of cover and handling of claims.
· Corresponding with intermediaries in service to indirect clients.
· Ensuring timely preparation of policy schedules, premium workings, and proof of cover documents for various classes of general insurance business that the company underwrites.
· Execution of claim procedures; i.e, taking clients through the whole process of claiming in the event of a loss.
· Following up on policy renewals.
· Liaising with other service providers that the organization works closely with. I.e, garages, banks, assessors, and valuers.
· Handling of all branch intermediary commission issues and preparation of schedules.
· Preparation of quotations for the provision of insurance services.
· Supervising office operations in the absence of the branch manager.
