Moses Quinion Galabuzi

Moses Quinion Galabuzi is an experienced and dedicated high school educator in Uganda, with seventeen years of teaching experience. Throughout his career, he has served in various roles including classroom teacher, head of department, Dean, and school principal. His passion lies in English language teaching, literature in English, and advanced secondary school General paper. Mo strongly believes in empowering students to discover knowledge on their own, with guidance and facilitation. He emphasizes the importance of quality handwriting and detailed note-taking in order to enhance learning. Mo teaches students between the ages of 13-19 at the high school level in Uganda and also takes on extra assignments in guidance counseling, careers, as well as music, dance, and drama departments. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as the Dean of the Department of Quality Assurance and Standards at his school. One of Mo's major objectives for joining the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program (FDAI) is to explore innovative technology for teaching and learning in Ugandan secondary schools. He recognizes the challenges faced by classrooms in Uganda due to large class sizes and poverty but firmly believes that education should have practical meaning for students. Mo aims to expose himself to advanced pedagogy and technology available in countries like the United States, as he believes that incorporating appropriate technology into classrooms can significantly enhance the learning experience. Apart from his dedication to education, Mo is actively involved in other pursuits such as being an ardent Rotarian who aims to make a positive impact within communities. He embraces remote work opportunities as a digital nomad while continuing his professional endeavors. Mo is also known as a devoted father, transformational leader, rotary leader, and inspirational speaker. Moses Quinion Galabuzi is a passionate educator with extensive experience in high school education. His commitment to empowering students through innovative teaching methods and integrating technology sets him apart as an exceptional educator. Through his involvement in various roles and pursuits, Mo strives to make a positive impact both within the education system and in communities at large.
