  • Work in a cleanroom environment coating Hydrophilic Catheters
  • Work with Engineers and team members on Various Projects and Specifications
  • Testing Products/Devices in the Engineer Lab base on Device Specifications
  • Coating Various Hydrophilic catheters based on their Coating work instructions
  • Based on this work instruction we follow the process to get results that yield the product that the customer expects
  • Before the Coating run starts daily, the rooms are clean and all instruments to be used in this coating run process are also clean and Sterilized with the appropriate solutions
  • Solutions for the coating run are to check for foreign materials (FMs)
  • Working with the Automated Coating Machines we put in the solution once there are no FMs and based on the Catheter we put in the recipe for the Coating Process
  • First and last article testing is done to see if that single Catheter passes the various test performed on it and if it does then we start our coating run for the projects
  • The last article test is done to close out the project which indicates that the coating run was good, and we package all the products for shipment back to the customer with the test samples
  • From this test shows the passing or failing of the Catheter from our Vertical Pinch Force test and our Viscosity test to see how lubricious it is before going into the human body
  • Only on rare occasions do we have a failure and when this happens, we call the Engineer running the project, and decisions are made on the next step
  • Good documentation on every step is followed to the letter and the signature is signed by the operator(s)
  • All products received are counted before and after the run for traceability and records
  • Technicians are flexible and can work on various projects from different customers, Catheter sizes and lengths, and even R & R&D Products.
