  • Perform commercial truck pre-trip inspections which includes but not limited to the vehicle’s fluids and tire inflation in accordance with industry guideline standards. Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning of vehicles. Report any equipment breakdowns or problems to the supervisor, and schedule truck maintenance as necessary and adjust delivery routes according to vehicle availability.
  • Create a high standard of customer service by continued communications with the customer to meet service expectations and delivery requirements.
  • Operate materials handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Follow all forklift safety rules as outlined in the forklift certification materials, working on obtaining or maintaining a forklift operations certificate.
  • Load and unload materials that utilizespace consistent with safety rules and the security and protection of the cargo. Special handling is required for sensitive cargo such as computer equipment and signal boxes.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of and abide by all traffic laws and regulation pertaining to vehicle operations.
  • Perform commercial truck pre-trip inspections which includes but not limited to the vehicle’s fluids and tire inflation in accordance with industry guideline standards.
