I have 10 years of active duty service in the United States Army as a non-commissioned officer assigned as a combat medic and crossed trained as a Physical Therapy Specialist. I have previously held a national certification as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). I have 23 years of experience as a civilian law enforcement officer assigned to the Hazardous Materials Response section. I am a state certified Hazardous Materials Technician currently assigned to our Hazardous Materials Team. I am also a nationally certified instructor with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliances National Training Center, which falls under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, in the subject of Other Bulk Packages. I am trained and possess the knowledge to effectively apply personnel and technology toward solving the most sophisticated security challenges, including: recapture operations, duress situations, anti-terrorist activities, and riot control scenarios. I am the program director for the Colorado State Patrol mask fit testing program, which currently tests approximately 800 civilian law enforcement personnel to ensure proper size and fit of their issued gas mask. I am a motivated professional SNCO that brings a wide range of experience from multiple career fields. I can add value to any organization and have great interpersonal and multitasking abilities. Security Forces Flight Chief

  • Was assigned to Red Squad as the Flight Chief for 8 personnel.
  • Volunteered for 2 months as an AGR to fill a manpower shortage for the flight line.
  • Was assigned as the team lead for a 13 person deployment team
  • During deployment, I was assigned to the 379 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron as the S4 Superintendent at Al Udeid AB in Qatar. My duties consisted of managing and leading the 14 person Armory, Supply Section, the Vehicle Control officer for 75 vehicles, the Resource Officer that was in charge of a $525K budget and Unit Transportation Representative(responsible for all inbound/outbound SF personnel and forward deployments). During my tenor, my team developed and produced four monthly Defender of the month awards, and two AFCENT Quarterly award winners. I was also able to capture SNCO of the month in June of 2023.
  • Upon return, I helped to restructure the 140th Security Forces Squadron DSG structure to better align with the demands of our global mission, better preparing our members for deployment or integration with the active duty element. Part of this restructure placed me as one of two 16 man squad leaders.

  • I graduated from the Colorado State Patrol Academy in June of 2001, where I was awarded my classes top shot, top driver, and top physical fitness cadet
  • I was assigned to the Castle Rock troop office
  • During my time in District 1, I applied for and was accepted into the State Patrol’s Motorcycle program
  • In 2005, I was part of an team that escorted the President of Iraq. He flew into the Grand Junction airport aboard Air Force two. We escorted him to Aspen for a large multi- national conference and maintained security for him and his team during the course of his week long stay
  • In 2008, I interviewed for our Hazardous Materials Team. I was awarded the position, based in Castle Rock and have been serving there since
  • I am currently a level 1 truck inspector, a General Hazardous Materials inspector, a Cargo Tank inspector, an Other Bulk Packaging inspector, a State of Colorado Hazardous Materials certified Technician, and a certified Highway Specialist
  • I am also a certified Level 6(nuclear) inspector, and a certified national instructor of the other bulk packaging course
  • During this time, I have received 3 Commander’s citations for excellence
  • I developed a Gas mask fit testing program that included writing policy and procedures, understanding OSHA standards for testing, and implementing the program to test over 800 Troopers on an annual basis. In conjunction with that program, I instituted a mask replacement program for old masks.

  • In March of 2011, I rejoined the military as a Colorado Air National Guard member
  • During this time I have served proudly as a member and supervisor within the squadron
  • I was selected, along with other technical and master sergeants in our 2017 annual field training exercise to train as a “Top Cop” for our Field-pack operations
  • I also volunteered for a week long NCO development training course sponsored by an Air reserve unit at Petersen Air Force Base
  • I recently volunteered to assist with a multiple agency disaster response exercise based in Fort Morgan, Colorado
  • This exercise assigned our security team, along with a team from Buckley Air force Base, to an Army MP Battalion
  • For one part of the exercise, I was the supervisor of our security team along with a medic from the MP Battalion
  • I was in charge of the exercise response team to an incident at a nursing home in Brush, Colorado
  • I have served as the “Top Cop” on multiple Fpak operations inside the United States, all successful missions with no security incidents
  • I have also trained two other Master Sergeants to be “Top Cops”
  • In August of 2021 I volunteered and attended a SNCO one-week training course with the 460th Space Wing to further my leadership abilities
  • I then was selected to attend the additional duty First Sergeants course in 2021, where I successfully completed the course and was thus assigned as the additional duty first Sergeant
  • I was then assigned as the acting First Sergeant while the assigned First Sergeant was deployed.

Combat Medic/Physical Therapy Specialist

  • Assigned to Bravo Company 10th Combat Support Hospital as a squad leader for twelve medics, my duties included motor pool maintenance on our assigned vehicles and equipment, medical skills training, rotation within the hospital ER to maintain my clinical skills, and setting up and moving our field hospital for possible deployment
  • I was asked by our Company Commander to take over as the company armorer
  • After attending armorer school at Fort Carson, I was the sole armorer for the company, responsible for over 400 weapons
  • My duties included weapons issue, maintenance of all weapons (M16’s and M9’s), and scheduling range times for over 300 personnel three times a year
  • While I was assigned to the armory, I had two IG inspections with only two minor write-ups but an overall rating of excellent both times
  • I was then selected by the Company Commander to be the NCOIC of Bravo Company’s orderly room
  • I supervised four orderly room personnel while still functioning as a squad leader and required annually to write sixteen EPR’s, which I trained one assistant squad leader to help complete
  • I was also assigned Bravo Companies urinalysis program and quickly moved to the Battalion’s urinalysis coordinator, in charge of two Company urinalysis coordinators
  • In February of 1999 the 10th Combat Support Hospital deployed to Bosnia
  • I was assigned to Camp Eagle, where we maintained the only forward field hospital during our seven-month rotation
  • During the deployment, I was assigned to the emergency room, where we performed sick call duties, but also had injuries anywhere from vehicles crashes, gunshot wounds, post-surgical patients, burn patients, and broken bones
  • We worked with the assigned medevac team and I was assigned to assist on multiple emergent medevacs
  • Part of our duties included being in the rotation as augmentees to the base security team.

Physical Therapy Specialist/Combat Medic

  • Assigned to the Vilseck Army Health Clinic as a medic performing such duties as, sick call and dependent check-in, patient initial screening, post visit care and discharge, and Emergency Room Technician duties
  • On multiple occasions I was attached to an Armor or Infantry unit, to provide medical support for their field training exercises, where I provided mounted medical support for the tank battle drills, or ground combat support with infantry squads during exercise maneuvers
  • Once renovations were completed on the PT clinic, I was assigned as the NCOIC of the Physical Therapy clinic
  • I was the sole technician of the clinic and was supervised by a civilian Physical Therapist based at Landstuhl AMC
  • During my time as the NCOIC, I was responsible for writing SOP’s and procedures, ordering equipment and supplies, and providing all treatments referred from my parent therapy clinic or local physicians
  • I trained one specialist to take over my position before returning to the United States
  • While in Germany, I was selected to attended the EFMB(Expert Field Medical Badge) course
  • This course is one week long and has historically had an attrition rate of 65%-80%, which I successfully completed on my first attempt
  • I attended a physical training competition with the German Army that consisted of eight events, finishing with a shooting competition, for which I received a Silver medal that qualified as a foreign award.
