My current position is Movement Control Assistant in MOVCON UNMISS (Rumbek State) as UNV. I do believe that my experiences of more than 20 years in logistics operations, movement control, multi-modal transportation, airline operations, administration and HR fields to United Nations missions comprising with Royal Thai Police is extremely relevant to the post advertised.
My United Nations Career began with MINUSTAH in 2010 to 2011 as Individual Police Officer in Human Resources Office of UNPOL. In 2013-2014 as UNPOL- MHQ Operations and Reporting Officer in UNMISS MHQ Operations. In 2016 to 2019, I got the opportunity to work with UNMISS as FPU's Desk Officer in MOVCON SMU/JMCC. I have been handing deployments, rotations and repatriations for all PCCs and TCCs in UNMISS. My position as FPU's Desk Officer, was indeed a challenging one, and I am proud that I am lead officer and responsible for entire deployment and rotation of all FPUs in UNMISS and I also acted as supportive officer for Military SO in the unit regarding deployment and rotation of troops within UNMISS as well.
The solid and varied background in Logistics, MOVCON made me well prepared to work in diverse and challenging environments. I am verse with working in tough and conflict environment, where condition with various actors is key to success, which give me advantage to compete for the position. I am conversant with UN system, and working in multi diversity environment over the years working as secondment for UN. These diverse experiences made me the best asset for United Nations. I am a team player, committed to achieving the goal organization and gender equality. Over the years work experiences with United Nations, has instilled me to ethics required for working in peacekeeping mission and understanding the UN system and its mandate.
- Receives customer requests through Movement of Personnel (MOP) and Cargo Movement.
- Request (CMR) Forms for transportation of passengers and cargo (including dangerous goods requiring special handling) within and outside the field mission.
- Determines the most efficient and cost-effective modes of transportation for passengers and cargo (including dangerous goods requiring special handling) within and/or outside a field mission.
- Coordinates required transportation activities with the Aviation and Transport Sections and/or commercial transportation service providers.
- Liaises with other units/sections, non-government and government organizations and intergovernmental agencies on immigration and customs matters.
- Assists in analyzing projected passenger and cargo flows to estimate required resources.
- Records statistical data on the movement of passengers and cargo (including dangerous goods requiring special handling) within and/or outside the field mission.
- Supervises the activities of the MovCon Cargo Warehouse.
- Monitors the process of excess personal luggage and cargo receipt and registration (including dangerous goods requiring special handling).
- Monitors the preparation of luggage and cargo for transportation and ensures that weighting, plastic wrapping and labeling are conducted in accordance with the established procedures.
- Ensures that luggage and cargo are labeled in accordance with required destinations.
- Coordinates the transportation arrangements to the embarkation facility.
- Supervises a team of movement control , passenger clerks, and cargo handlers.
- Supervises the provision of passenger and cargo handling services (including dangerous goods requiring special handling) in support of the field mission from the established movement control facility and monitors that all activities are carried out in accordance with the client rules, regulations and applicable safety procedures.
- Compiles passenger and cargo manifests and communicates them to the aircrew, surface transport and riverine personnel.
- Monitors that aircraft, vehicles, and vessels are loaded in accordance with passenger and cargo manifests.
- Briefs passengers on schedules, routes, timing, and safety requirements.
- Monitors check-in and check-out activities for outgoing and incoming passengers and cargo.
- Participates in the integrated search and rescue operations for the UN assets and other assets upon request and coordinates the availability and operational readiness of the required personnel and equipment.

- Receiving and processing all Passenger and Cargo booking requests. -Prepare accurate Passenger and Cargo manifests.
- Brief PCC/TCC on MOVCON related matters.
- Conducting Passenger check-in and weighting of Cargo and luggage.
- Ensuring that only authorized personnel are manifested and boarded on the aircraft.
- Arrange for Cargo and Baggage inspections. -Facilitate PAXs through Immigration and Customs formalities.
- Arranging the movement of inbound and outbound Cargo via all applicable modes of transport (air, sea and road).
- Compile Movement Completion Reports.
- Maintain HR information systems, including constant update and generation of information and reports for use by management.
- Plans, organize, develop, coordinate and administer substantive assessment tests and other tests related to recruitment of professional, general service and other categories of personnel.
- Contributes to the development of a set of actionable and targeted change management plans, including coach and train in order to implement these responsibilities and reports on possible gaps.
- Provide administrative support regarding the duties and contractual rights of staff with fixed-term appointments and ensure that information in the databases of the unit is correct and updated.

- Responsible for workforce planning for the deployment of incoming contingents, ensuring duty stations and sections are adequately staffed with qualified Police Advisors whilst maintaining national and geographic balance where possible.
- Develops and maintains a succession planning for key and critical positions within the mission.
- Ensures optimum utilization of human resources and maintenance of gender. -Ensure an unbiased and professional approach to selection of potential UNPOL candidates.
- Manage office supplies stock and place orders.

- Coordinates and oversees all logistical aspects of staff relocation directly with the client focal points and ensures all staff movements are completed in the most timely, safe, efficient and effective manner.

- Attend to injuries or sudden illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital simple and advanced treatments (first aid, CPR, administering injections and oxygen etc.) or surgical procedures.
- Use tech equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment.
- Monitor patient's condition en route to Police General Hospital. Collaborate with interested parties (police, firefighting unit, doctors etc.).
- Write and submit concrete and accurate reports on incidents.
- Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards.
