• Led DeFi data initiatives by analyzing smart contracts and integrating protocols like Uniswap, Curve, Aave, Compound, Balancer, etc., into Coin Metrics' data products.
• Defined and standardized DeFi protocol metrics, such as TVL, borrowing/lending activity, swaps, and fees, across the Ethereum mainnet and Layer 2s.
• Collaborated with internal research and product teams to expose protocol insights through APIs and data dashboards, and served as a subject-matter expert for internal DeFi queries.
• Performed rigorous validation of internal and external-facing data using Python and SQL scripts, and benchmarked outputs against third-party providers, such as DeFiLlama and Dune Analytics.
• Contributed to internal tooling, documentation, and data modeling standards to improve long-term maintainability, scalability, and coverage.

Notable contributions:

• Expanded DEX data coverage to include all major decentralized exchanges on the Ethereum mainnet, and prominent Layer 2 networks, significantly broadening Coin Metrics’ DeFi footprint.
• Co-designed and launched Coin Metrics' Balance Sheets data for lending protocols, aligning DeFi metrics with TradFi accounting frameworks to enhance institutional adoption and usability.
• Contributed directly to public-facing research and metric development, consumed by institutions and protocol stakeholders.

Worked in the University of Houston's Computer Science department's i2c lab under the supervision of Dr. Weidong Shi. Conducted graduate-level research with a focus on blockchain systems, smart contracts, and decentralized consensus.

• Conducted large-scale data collection and analysis on Chainlink oracle usage across Ethereum, publishing findings on usage trends, and adoption metrics.
• Published research on smart contract execution models and security risks.

Worked as part of the Afiniti® System Integration and Deployment team. Was responsible for working with one of Afiniti's largest clients in terms of revenue. Role included overseeing the development, deployment, and support of Afiniti's solutions in various client environments from a technical standpoint.

I worked as part of Mentor Graphics™ Embedded Division. I was part of the Connectivity team working on USB subsystems in the Connectivity team of Mentor Graphics® RTOS for embedded systems called the Nucleus™ RTOS group.
