At Klein High School, I was lucky to be part of the Advanced Nursing Pathway, a program in partnership with Lone Star College. This program was quite rigorous and allowed students like me to start taking nursing prerequisite courses as sophomores. By my junior and senior years of high school, I was able to take nursing classes at Lone Star College, which meant I could graduate high school with an Associate of Arts degree, and continue the nursing program afterwards for 6 months allowing to me complete my LVN. I started this program when I was just 14 years old. After a tough interview process and a lot of hard work, I was accepted, and I completed my Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) training by the time I turned 18.
