During this experience, my speaking skills increased drastically. I learned how to get people more comfortable speaking with me, and I also developed other important skills, like time management. More specifically, I clearly identified just how crucial getting to places on time may be, and realized how disrespectful it may look when a person does not arrive at the designated time assigned. Another important skill I developed in this club may be the knowledge of apparel and what apparel may suit one’s needs. More specifically, when talking to other people regularly, I often had several conversations in which a person may have shared their style with me, which, furthermore, helped me develop a sense of knowledge about sneakers and other kinds of apparel.

During my time working and studying public speaking, I was chosen by my fellow peers to speak to our mayor, Mayor Adams. This experience taught me several other skills, like how to approach people in a nice and respectful manner.
