Accepted the role as chief resident to help sharpen my decision-making abilities by actively pursuing the related challenges of managing schedules for didactics, interacting with faculty for resident issues, working with the program administration to solve ongoing problems, and working collegially with other residents.
Continued my scholarly work by collaborating with different attendings, residents and students to complete research articles, case reports and posters.

Part of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) didactics team.
Did ICU rotations under supervised autonomy, managed all admissions to floor and ICU independently.
Ran rapid responses and code blue and performed all the procedures unassisted including placing central lines, endotracheal intubations, chest tubes, thoracenteses, paracenteses and lumbar punctures.
Gained a wealth of experience in leading the floor and ICU team, teaching junior residents and students, and supervising a significant number of procedures.

My dedication and hard work paid off, and I was able to become a lead author on one of the publications submitted to a peer-reviewed journal. I continued my hard work, and now I am one of the co-authors of major manuscripts that have been published.
