Student Assistant
I held a role in fostering the linguistic abilities of a diverse cohort of learners, ranging from the tender age of 11 to 27 years. My primary responsibility was to engage in meaningful dialogues with students to identify their linguistic challenges and aspirations. This involved a deep dive into understanding their individual needs across speaking, writing, and test preparation to tailor a bespoke learning journey that aligns with their goals.
1. Personalized Learning Consultations: Through empathetic and constructive conversations, I pinpointed students' areas for improvement and their specific objectives, whether it be enhancing conversational skills, refining writing techniques, or excelling in language proficiency examinations.
2. Linguistic Accuracy Verification: An innovative aspect of my role involved challenging students to transcribe spoken English words accurately and elucidate their meanings, a technique that proved highly effective in enhancing both vocabulary and spelling skills.
3. Assessment and Integrity Oversight: I calculated practice test scores and vigilantly supervised examinations to ensure academic integrity.
4. Parental and Educator Engagement: Communicating progress and feedback to both educators and parents was one of my role. By providing detailed insights into students' after-class achievements and areas needing further development, I need to bridged the gap between classroom learning and home support.
