- Evaluate and address the impact of preexisting medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiac disease, respiratory disorders) on post-surgical recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to adjust care plans based on patient comorbidities, and response to treatment.
- Communicating and discussing patient issues with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, which may include surgeons, consultants, microbiologists, plaster technicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and fracture liaison nurses.
