Mia Valdes

Driven, compassionate, and results-oriented, I am a first-generation U.S.-born Latina and the first in my family to graduate from college, fueled by a lifelong commitment to dismantling injustices in all domains of life. Grounded in the principles of intersectional feminism, I have developed extensive academic and research expertise across diverse fields, including gender-based and sexual violence , ecofeminism, latina feminism, international human rights, and reproductive justice.

My work is dedicated to advocating for equity and inclusivity through both grassroots advocacy and transformative policy development. With a rigorous background in research, I have examined the systemic intersections of gender, race, class, and environmental justice, crafting solutions to amplify marginalized voices and address structural oppression. My academic achievements and professional focus reflect an unwavering commitment to creating systemic change, particularly for historically underrepresented communities.

As a trailblazer within my family and my community, I bring a unique perspective, bridging lived experience with scholarly expertise, and am steadfast in my goal of driving impactful, intersectional policies that promote justice on a global scale.
