SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
  
Acts as a marketing extension of MLC and as its representative both in image and in service. Provides hospitality and service with a sense of pride unparalleled in the local market to enhance the experience of the guest during their visit to Maryland Live! Casino. Hotel. The focus shall always be to consistently delivering in every assignment, exemplary guest services to every guest; every time in a timely manner, exhibiting a can-do attitude and the "It Factor". * Provide entertainment by greeting and interacting with guests
* Maintain an attractive appearance and model an appealing brand image
* Model for photos with guests or other photo shoots to be used in print and promotional advertising for Luk Fu Sushi 8 lounge.
* Regular marketing Maryland Live! Casino/Hotel through social media according to brand standards for Luk Fu Sushi 8 lounge
* Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages sales.
* Ensure consistent quality of products.
* Prepares beverages with a sense of quality and flare to enhance the experience of the guest
* Responsible for setting up bars.
* Responsible for handling all cash transactions.
* Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock.
* Responsible to take orders from guest and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
* Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.
* Responsible to have knowledge of guests limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
* Ensure guests receive a favorable dining experience.
* Other duties as assigned.
  
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Ability to communicate in English and fluently in either Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese or other Asian language
* Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, liquors, wines, beers and ales; portray an "ask me" image with knowledge.
* Ability to "upsell" and recommend products to guests.
* Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic instructions in English.
* Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
* Ability to make change from sales.
* Ability to reconcile and balance sales at the conclusion of the shift.
* Eye-hand coordination.
* Manual dexterity.
* Demonstrable ability to entertain bar guests within socially-appropriate standards.
* Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations and gaming laws.
* Able to effectively handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.
* Ability to communicate with all departments and other team members.
* Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
* Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
* Knowledge of bar operations.
  
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

* A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
* Completion of professional bartending training desired. Mixology training a plus.
* Six months to one year experience as a bartender in a high volume operation.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Agency for the position and Alcohol Beverage Control card.
  
WORKING CONDITIONS:

* High volume, 24-hour liquor and beverage service.
* Loud, high-energy work environment.
* Working in an environment where smoking is allowed.
* Standing and walking for duration of shift.
* Ability to handle multi-tasking heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
* Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
* Due to the casino environment, frequent exposure to "adult" language.
* Flexible working schedule to include weekends and holidays.
* Working in a team environment.
* You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
* You will be exposed to alcohol, smoke, bright lights, and noise.
* You will need to walk up and down stairs to the Casino floor.
* You will work in 24/7 high energy casinos with over 300,000 square feet of gaming, hotel and entertainment space.
