I love music. I am a singer and songwriter. I have professionally recorded and released my original song, Expand. I am heavily involved in church and love the creative arts. I intend to be a creative arts pastor once I graduate.
Overflow Music Center allows students to take private music lessons for various instruments.
I work as a piano and vocal teacher. Each lesson, I go through a workbook with my students. Each lesson is about 30 minutes long, once per week.
I started being a teacher during my 10th grade year and will work until I leave for college.
Overflow Church believes in encouraging and supporting the youth. If you have a specific call to ministry, the church will ensure you get paired with a pastor in that field. Internships will take place this way the student can learn and get as much exposure as possible to that specific field of ministry.
I work directly with the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor of Overflow Church, Ruth Spiegel. We meet every Tuesday from 1-3pm. We go over Sunday set lists and any other musical event that is approaching. She gives me insight to what this field of ministry can look like. I also serve on the worship team twice a month. I started interning during my sophomore year.
Fun Arts is our K-5th grade program designed to help kids discover and develop their gifts in a fun, safe setting. Kids will sing, dance, act, and create art each week as they strengthen their skills in these areas. They have the opportunity to deploy these gifts at the end of each semester, when we do a theatrical production with all our Fun Arts students. In years past, we have done original musicals, broadway musicals, and a number of Christmas musicals as well.
Fun Arts does more than just teach fine arts for kids. We have seen over the years that this program helps kids grow in community, social skills, and focus. They will learn to work together, use their memory, observe their surroundings, and participate with confidence. With our incredible teaching team leading them with encouragement, Fun Arts is a safe place for kids who are unsure of their abilities to test them and explore what they love to do.
Fun Arts is a 2 hour program that meets every Tuesday from 3-5pm. As a teacher, I prepare the snacks, go over the musical elements of the plays, direct a small group, and much more. I started this position my freshman year.
There is also a summer camp that takes place every June for two weeks. We do similar activities.
Fine Arts is a celebration of the Creator who inspires creativity in His children, and it’s rich in spiritual substance. This is reflected in the festival’s mission statement: to help students discover, develop, and deploy their artistry to spread the gospel.
Students, ranging from sixth grade to college age, can enter in 108 different fine arts categories ranging from choir all the way to drama.
Each spring, students have the opportunity to present what they have been working on at District Fine Arts in Orlando, FL. Each performance is judged by a panel of three judges, who offer constructive feedback for students' growth. It is a fun time of learning and bonding for students.
For students who are chosen by the judges to advance, they will again perform for a new set of judges at Nationals in late summer. The location of Nationals alternates between Orlando, FL, and various cities across the US. In 2023 & 2024, Nationals will take place in Columbus, Ohio.
The Overflow Fine Arts Program prepares students to participate in the Assemblies of God Fine Arts Districts and National Festivals. I started my 6th grade year, and will finish it out for my senior year. During last Districts I placed 2nd in the categories of Book Chapter Sr, Human Video Solo Sr, and Vocal Solo Spanish Female. During last Nationals, out of 400 different entries, I placed 2nd in the category of Short Sermon Sr.
Fine Arts is a program that helps students discover, develop, and deploy their God-given gifts through discipleship. Students have the opportunity to learn through our core classes of Choir, Drama, and Human Video, as well as a wide number and range of mentor categories.

I have personally participated in this program for 7 years. I started my 6th grade year and will finish it out for my senior year. As stated before, I go every Wednesday night. We refine our acts that we bring to competition. The categories I particularly focus on are Human Video, Vocal Solo, and Short Sermon.
