I originated from Myanmar, one of the ASEAN nations, and I arrived in the United States in July 2021 due to the ongoing military coup in my home country that commenced on February 1, 2021. Myanmar is currently grappling with severe challenges, including a collapsing healthcare system characterized by an alarming shortage of doctors.
The military regime has halted the issuance of necessary documents for medical professionals, preventing them from practicing medicine in other countries. Consequently, I am unable to pursue the US Medical License Examination due to these document limitations.
Despite these challenges, I have channeled my determination and resilience into a new role as a Physician Facilitator. This position allows me to remain engaged in the healthcare sector and contribute to the delivery of healthcare from a different vantage point, providing valuable support to the medical community.
