I am dependable and hardworking, with strong attention to detail and a positive attitude. I am familiar with plant and lawn care techniques and am proficient in using landscaping tools and equipment. I am experienced in residential electrical work and carpentry. Growing up on a small farm has also taught me some welding, fabrication, and woodworking experience.
I have enjoyed the opportunity to serve my school and community through FCA and I am very involved in my local church. I enjoy public speaking and value each and every opportunity.
Since the summer of 2022 I have trained for and completed 7 ultra endurance bicycle races. Here are the names of the races, how long they were, and what place I came in.
Colorado Trail Race- 530 miles long, and this was an individual time trial.
Trans North Georgia Adventure- 360 miles long, I have completed this race three separate times and my best placement was 5th.
RockStar Race- 270 miles long, and I came in 24th place.
HuckleBerry- 250 miles long. I have completed this Race twice, coming in 2nd and 1st place.
During school I have received many awards such as “student of the Year” and many other awards given out by teachers. But the most special award that I have received was this year at the Cross Country State championships. The Cross Country sportsmanship award is only given out to two individuals in the entire state of NC 1A runners. I was honored to receive this award at the state championship award ceremony, alongside another runner I had never met.
CrossCountry- During my Highschool career I ran Cross Country all four years and finally made it to state this year where our team came in second for 1A.
Basketball- I played basketball from freshman to junior year, and had the pleasure of being on the SMC Conference Champion team for the 2024-2025 season.
Track & Field- I also ran track for the last three years and plan to do so this spring as well. I also made it to the State championships for triple Jump last year.
Project Discovery- Project discovery is not a sport. However, it is a program that is based out of Western Carolina University. Their aim is to help students in their academic journey and also to find colleges for them. I have been honored to be a part of project discovery all four years of high school. I have been on multiple trips with them to places including Colorado, and Key Largo Florida. I have also been on many college tours with them throughout my high school career. They have been a huge help to me, when it comes to understanding and learning about how college works.
