I am a former teacher who transitioned to the Health Field. Even though I like both environments (Educational and Health Field) I have to say that Diagnostic Medical Sonography is definitely my passion!
Since I started DMS I have attended 4 conferences around the country in OBGYN and Fetal Abnormalities.
I am always looking to improve my knowledge in the area through conferences, literature, shadowing experienced Sonographers and Volunteering so I can understand the subject better and also be a better professional for the institution I will be working for and the patients.
For years my passion has been OBGYN but ever since I started as an intern at White Memorial Hospital I have been introduced to General Sonography and Pediatric Sonography and now I can say I love all these areas.
I am able to perform entry level OBGYN, General and Pediatric Sonography in an acute Hospital setting, Emergency department, bed side inpatient and outpatient.
I believe in team work and excellent patient care and also that I have the tools needed to take my next step in Sonography.
