Work History

Family Service Coordinator

Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority
03.2018 - Current

Conducted intakes and comprehensive needs assessments to understand tenants needs. Together we established goal plans based off their assessments and connected them to resources in the community to meet their needs.

  • Built solid and trusting rapport with tenants, fostering trust and communication needed to address goal progress or lack thereof.
  • Attended and participated in bi-weekly team meetings, often discussing tenants that were not in compliance with their lease agreement. Through these meetings we brainstormed resolutions for lease violations that were deemed curable and determined reasonable timeframe to address them.
  • Facilitated a monthly tenant organization meeting to ensure communication and collaboration between property management. This provided tenants a platform to share concerns, receive information on programs, community initiatives, use of Tenant Participation Funds and make decisions to improve the quality of life for all residents in their housing development.
  • Liaised with community partners to streamline referrals and assisted with creating and monitoring partnership contracts for onsite programming aligned with Resident Services department goals.
  • Maintained confidential records and documentation in Efforts to Outcome (ETO) database. Provided feedback on how to improve the ETO system and processes to maximize data collection for grant and data entry for team.
