  • While working at Sugaring NYC I was taught the technique of organic sugaring waxing and the receptionist's responsibility.
  • My duties at the front desk included checking clients in and out, signing them up for membership, schedule/moving appointments i also controlled the tanning booth so I helped prepare the clients before and after each tan.
  • When we receive shipment, I unbox and restock the inventory room along with daily cleaning
  • As a sugarista at Sugaring NYC, I would greet each guest as I got them from the waiting room and then instruct them on what to do before the services.
  • I wax every area of the body and also perform v-facials
  • I sell scrubs and or ingrown product line and our healing oils to almost every guest that comes in for a wax

Esthetician / Studio Guide

  • Being an esthetician at Glowbar I have many responsibilities and goals that I must reach.
  • At Glowbar, I do 30-minute custom facials which can include derma-planing, extractions, chemical peels, microcurrent, LED therapy, and high-frequency.
  • One of my many goals is to sell at least 1000 dollars in products each month or at least 45 dollars worth of products each shift.
  • I also inform clients of the benefits of getting a membership and coming to get a facial monthly.
  • When I am not with a client I am responsible for keeping the sink clean and fully stocked. As the studio guide, I am responsible for making sure the laundry is constantly being done and folded neatly away so that the estheticians have clean sheets and towels for each client.
  • I also make sure the studio is clean at all times and the sink where clients wash their face is fully stocked with everything they may need
  • The role of the studio guide includes greeting clients when they enter the studio, helping them fill out forms, signing them up for membership, and scheduling their next appointment.
  • If it is their first time I explain the process in depth to make sure they understand what to do and expect out of the treatment they receive
  • Another one of my responsibilities as an esthetician at Glowbar is to learn each client's skincare routine to make sure it matches their skin concerns and needs. When needed I will give them recommendations on how to improve their routine to meet their needs and make sure they are using each product correctly.
  • After each facial, I give each client the necessary aftercare instructions and contraindications they should avoid for the next few days.
  • During the appointment, I write notes about how the client's skin was when they came in, and when the treatment was over. Also, I write down any reactions they may have had and recommend treatment so that I or any other esthetician may have an idea of the course of action that is necessary to help the client with their skincare goals.

  • I educate guests about pre and post wax care and remind them how important it is to stay consistent so that they can achieve their hair removal goals. I was also responsible for completing my daily sales goals

  • Working as an esthetician at this clinic helped me learn how to communicate with clients effectively so that they understand the importance of keeping up with the after care after each facial
  • While working here I was responsible for doing many different types of facials and chemical peel along with H2O peels that are safe for pregnant clients

  • I waxed clients using both hard and soft wax and tweeze to remove a hair that didn't get picked up by the wax and to help shape the brows

  • As a manager at bath and body works I would come in the store early to count registers and make sure the store is ready for opening
  • I also prepare the sales floor and back room for when shipment arrives
  • When shipment arrives I fill out the paperwork and make sure what's on the order receipt matches what is dropped off to us
  • Once shipment is set I push product out the the sales floor and make sure it's full and abundant

  • I was also responsible for overseeing the storage room we had in the mall to make sure nothing important was being left behind in there and that no product was being stored there
