· Develops, implements and executes annual and long-range merchandising plans in support of company sales objectives for growth and profitability for assigned product lines. Plans include goals, financial targets and identification of opportunities for market segment, position, and/or competitive advantage.
· Responsible for negotiation of all elements of vendor programs, including but not limited to, discounts from invoice, co-op, volume rebates, marketing funds, payment terms, exclusive models, allocations, etc. Consults with Management as needed.
· Manages manufacturer performance and relationships, assuring a high level of product quality, delivery, and margin.
· Develops action plans to improve sales and sell-thru.
· Assist Category Manager (CM) with effective merchandising presentations in print, digital, and other marketing media.
· Analyze new pricing from vendors to ensure business profitability.
· Monitor sales of products and recommends adjustments to assortment by adding new items, discontinuing products, or suggesting stocking level adjustments accordingly.
· Support Supply Chain on vendor price protection ensuring inventory is correctly valued.
