• Direct biomedical maintenance operations supporting approximately 12,000 medical devices valued at more than $60 million across Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, six Troop Medical Clinics, four Dental Clinics, one Veterinary Clinic, Dallas MEPS, Dyess AFB Veterinary Clinic, and Red River Army Depot Health Clinic.
• Lead and supervise 14 personnel consisting of Army Biomedical Equipment Specialists, GS civilian employees, contractor biomedical technicians, and administrative staff by assigning work, establishing priorities, mentoring personnel, and ensuring mission readiness.
• Plan and manage approximately 1,200 preventive maintenance inspections and 300 corrective maintenance work orders each month while maintaining preventive maintenance completion above the 98% organizational standard.
• Reduced corrective maintenance backlog from approximately 600 work orders to the low 400s through workload redistribution, technician accountability, and operational process improvements.
• Review 50–100 Hazard Alert Recall messages daily, determine equipment applicability, initiate corrective work orders, and ensure timely implementation of manufacturer safety actions to protect patients and maintain DHA compliance.
• Coordinate emergency repairs for life-support and mission-critical medical equipment, prioritize workload based on clinical impact, and serve as primary escalation point for complex maintenance issues.
• Represent Biomedical Maintenance during logistics leadership meetings by briefing maintenance metrics, operational readiness, procurement actions, customer concerns, and equipment status to senior leadership.
• Review equipment procurement requests, verify maintenance funding, coordinate vendor support, and ensure repair actions comply with government purchasing and maintenance policies.
• Develop and deliver recurring technician training, onboard new personnel, implement SOPs, review leave and overtime requests, verify monthly labor utilization, and support Joint Commission and DHA inspections through complete QA/QC documentation.

• Performed preventive maintenance, calibration, certification, electrical safety testing, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and lifecycle support for biomedical equipment throughout a major military medical treatment facility.
• Maintained patient monitors, telemetry systems, ventilators, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, sterilizers, washer disinfectors, cart washers, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, ultrasound systems, mobile X-ray equipment, endoscopy systems, and dental equipment.
• Utilized patient simulators, defibrillator analyzers, ESU analyzers, digital multimeters, pressure/vacuum gauges, gas flow analyzers, tachometers, thermometers, and manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment to isolate component-level failures.
• Installed and supported networked medical equipment and delivered operator preventive maintenance training to improve equipment reliability and readiness.
