Myles Lyng

I am a declared Film and Digital Media major and my interests are writing for film/television, production work, editing, and social media work. In regards to film, I have served as an extra on many big budget movies, which has allowed me to get used to being on major film sets. I have served as a Production Assistant, Gaffer, and 1st Assistant Director on University of North Georgia student short films. As far as social media work is concerned, I have experience with my own movie/television review channel on platforms such as Youtube, Tiktok, and Instagram. I have also worked as a Social Media and Event Manager at Canopy + the Roots in Dahlonega, Georgia. Job duties included videography of live events such as comedy and local musicians, all shot primarily on a cell phone. Social Media duties saw the reposting of videography work via reels on Instagram and Tiktok. Event Management tested my leadership skills as I overlooked live comedy and music events with 20-100 attendants. All this was achieved while working as a Barista upstairs at the speakeasy during weekdays while being a full time student. I am currently still with this company but plan on going to bigger and better things in the summer leading into graduation.
I also have worked as a content writer for Seo Optimization for part time summer work. This involved writing short articles to boost optimization to help people rank on Google.
I have worked as a Helper at WH Mechanical Plumbing for several summers. This helped me to get a glimpse into the manual labor side of work. All throughout high school I worked at Subway as a Food Service Worker and at Mcalister's Deli as the same role. I also worked at Einstein's Bagel Company which took place during my first year of college.
