Obtain thorough medication history, including all supplements, prescribed and non-prescribed medications.

Accurately document and update medications.

Confirm proper medication use and identify any discrepancies with patient and family.

Communicate any findings to the providers and others on the treatment team.

Perform head to toe assessments, review labs and diagnostic results, and thoroughly review medical charts.

Assist Anesthesiologists in Peripheral Nerve Blocks and other procedures.

Start and maintain peripheral intravenous lines and administer medications.

Monitor vital signs, patient pain, and operative site.

Coordinate patient care with providers and other departments.

Observe and document patient progress.

Provide discharge instructions to patient and family and promote self-care.

Accurately document all interventions, assessments, and progress.

• Coordinate daily administrative duties, including time card correction and staffing coverage, assign tasks and patient care.
• Manage and assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Mentor and train new staff, provide support and assistance to all staff members, and be a resource in critical situations.
• Provide policies/procedures education and ensure compliance.
• Assist in communication between other departments, nurses and providers.
