Taught Grade 4 learners in a Tier 1 Charter School. Responsible for developing an Inclusive Classroom for learners, that will prepare them for their EOG Check-Ins examinations in English (ELA) and Math.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create positive inclusive learning environment which prepares learners for examinations critical to the state, in ELA and Math.
  • Implemement creative interventions for Standards in the Curriculum that has the lowest performance scoring.
  • Develop Lesson Plans that are in line with Curriculum Standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of each pupil's progress within all areas of the curriculum, factoring areas for improvement and pupil's abilities into the teaching methodologies.
  • Work closely with parents and carers, providing constructive feedback and discussing their child's needs so they can be incorporated into the classroom environment.
  • Record instances of negative pupil's behavior such as disruption and disengagement; work closely with the Dean, Parents, Carers, that these issues can be rectified.

  • Implemented new creative methods of teaching with improved EOG-Check-In scores in 3 months.
  • Motivated learners using positive reinforcements, and parental involvement, resulting in a 30% reduction in negative pupil behavior.
