Dear Norwegian Cruise Line Human Resources Team,

The purpose of this letter is to express interest in applying for the new opportunity to serve Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America as a Training Specialist.

Through my various current leadership roles on board the Pride of America as a Waiter, Position Based Trainer, and Lifeboat Commander, I believe I am a perfect candidate fit for this position. Throughout the course of my journey with Norwegian’s Pride of America thus far, I have been promoted from my starting position as a Restaurant Department Waiter Assistant to Waiter immediately upon successful completion of my initial probationary period and have been designated to work in various specialty venues throughout the ship that require increased workloads and a greater attention to detail.

Additionally, I have been designated and selected by the Department Officers to train newly onboarded hires with standard operating procedures (as a Position Based Trainer) and to test them on successful completion of their knowledge utilizing written testing materials. I have also been designated as a Lifeboat Safety Commander on board after successfully completing Norwegian’s Life Boat Endorsement watercraft survival safety course with a leading top test score, and I conduct a leading role within this safety team on a weekly basis.

I have also been recognized and awarded as a Heart of House Vacation Hero by Officer Management for my efforts amongst my peers as an outstanding company ambassador behind the scenes for the 2025 calendar year as well as having been recognized and awarded as a Vacation Hero 3 times since the beginning of my career with NCL, for being a service champion by going above and beyond and demonstrating a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction by providing genuine care, friendliness, and heroism and upholding company service operations standards.

I believe a combination of my leadership skills, incredible work ethic, undeniably cheerful attitude, along with a background with a Hospitality Management Bachelor’s of Science all make me a wonderful fit for this Training Specialist Position here onboard the Pride of America. I am also open to pursuing and acquiring any additional teaching certifications that would strengthen my qualifications for this role. I would love to be considered for this position.
