A cardiac sonographer is diagnostic imaging expert who specializes in talking pictures of a patient's heart.Cardiac sonographer use sophisticated diagnostic imaging machinery and techniques to capture moving images of heart valves.Also called echocardiographers,cardiac sonographers take these 2-D or 3-D images to help physicians diagnose patients with heart conditions,diseases or sympotoms.

1.Explain theprocedure beforehand to their patients and answring any questions they might have.

2.Reviewing patients medical history to make sure they can safely undego an ecocardiogram.

3.Evaluating various features of patient's heart,such as its chamber sizes and blood flow,to identify congenital or acquired abnormaloties in the heart and associated complications,leaking or narrowed heart valves or causes of shortness of breath,chest pain or mumurs.

4.Adjusting diffrent aspects of their imaging, such as the angle or focus,to capture the highest quality image possible.

5.Sanitizing echocardiogram equipment beetween patients.

6.Analyzing and taking picture of patient's heart to identify potential abnormalities in anatomy and physiology.

7.Collaborating with other healthcare specialists and staff.
