· To teach the class assigned by the school principal. Work within all school policies and guidelines.
· Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons in line with the school curricular aims.
· Self-evaluate and review teaching methods, materials and schemes of work and make changes as appropriate.
· Maintain a well-managed classroom with a good work ethos.
· Assess students’ work effectively in a timely fashion and provide appropriate comments.
· Maintain records and write reports on pupils’ progress and development
· Discuss progress with pupils, parents and colleagues.
· Attend year meetings, staff meetings, parents’ evenings and whole school events.
· Designing and following a complete teaching plan.
· Teaching alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills.
· Organizing learning material and resources.
· Use a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
· Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information.
· Assess students’ performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis.
· Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for students in the classroom.
· Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete learning objectives.
· Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students.
· Encouraging students to explore learning opportunities and career paths.
· Creating, assigning and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays and projects.
· Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention.
· Tracking and evaluating student academic progress.
· Leading parent-teacher meetings.
· Working collaboratively and in consultation with teachers to adapt learning opportunities for identified students.
· Teaching and co-teaching in collaboration with teachers.
· Gathering data in order to gain information about student development and progress and using this information to inform teaching and learning.
· Case managing students with identified needs planning, goal setting and developing, implementing and evaluating interventions.
