Nahom Emanuel

My name is Nahom Emanuel and I am from Rochester, NY. I am a very motivated and hard working individual that will display a strong work ethic. I am the type of person that will set goals for myself, make a plan and lay out the steps that need to be taken for me to reach that goal, and I will go after that goal and achieve it. I am prepared for any adversities that may come up in my path when I am after my goals, but I will overcome these adversities and become successful. Connecting this, one characteristic that describes me is that I am a very persistent and perseverant person. This is because when I set a goal or vision for myself, so matter how difficult it is, or how long the process takes, I will not give up on my vision, and I will keep working until my vision comes to fruition. My skills comes from many different facets of my overall experiences.

Clean Miami Beach - Miami, Florida

November 2023 - Present

A Non Profit Organization located in Miami, FL. The objective of this organization is to combat the ecological issues that are faced in the ecosystems throughout the bodies of water located throughout the area, including going against the challenges of preserving and protecting the aquatic life in the ocean.

1-2 times each month, we gather as a group of individuals to participate in Beach Clean Ups. This is an activity where we utilize tools such as buckets and the trash pickers, and we go all across the Beach (North/South Miami Beach), and we pick up liter or trash from the sand on the ground, the large rocks near the boardwalk, or the surfaces close to the ocean and the waves collapsing into the sand. All of this liter is collected into our bucket, and this trash is converted into either recyclables or converted into "decorations" to be hung up at a certain location in the city.

This activity reinforced the importance of working in a team, individually, and being able to communicate effectively with your peers.
