Nain Martinez-Meza

This title allowed me to work with an organization that is geared toward the advancement of Latinx growth in the STEM workforce. In my time I managed to accomplish the following:

• Collaborated with local schools to coordinate workshops, presentations, and events
• Managed a team of volunteers for various education and outreach activities
• Created educational materials such as presentations and online resources to support outreach efforts
• Organized field trip tours for students to foster hands-on learning experiences
• Evaluated the effectiveness of education programs through surveys and feedback forms from participants
• Maintained accurate records of program attendance, budget expenses, and outcomes achieved
• An organization geared toward the advancement of Latinx growth in the STEM workforce

As an assistant PM, I took the responsibilities that come when handling multiple projects, such as:

• Conducted site visits to assess roofing conditions, identify potential issues, and provide accurate cost estimates
• Negotiated contracts with suppliers for materials procurement, resulting in savings on average per project
• Implemented safety protocols and ensured compliance with OSHA regulations throughout all stages of the projects
• Monitored project progress regularly, identifying any deviations from plans or specifications and implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Coordinated logistics for equipment delivery, material transportation, waste disposal, and other operational requirements
• Managed project budgets effectively by tracking expenses against allocated funds and making adjustments when necessary to avoid cost overruns
  Provided technical expertise regarding different types of roofing systems (e.g., shingle roofs, flat roofs) based on industry best practices
• Developed strong vendor relationships through effective negotiation strategies resulting in favorable pricing terms

As team lead, I was not only in charge but still had the same responsibilities as my teammates, when it came to the process itself I:

• Programmed and optimized robot movements using languages such as C++ & Python
• Performed system integration testing to ensure proper functionality of robotic systems
• Worked closely with mechanical engineers to design robot components that meet performance specifications
• Assigned projects and distributed tasks to team members as per area of expertise.
• Created plans to propose solutions to problems related to efficiency, costs or improved performance.
