Google Chronicle is a cloud-native Enterprise platform for Security Operations
focused on Detection, Investigation and Response. I lead the Detection,
Search and AI Engineering org in the Chronicle Business Unit. My
responsibilities include:

• Growing, mentoring and leading a team of Engineering Leaders and
  Technical Leads on Google Chronicle’s Detection, Investigation and
  Response product.
• Responsible for 5 high impact teams to deliver against the orgs strategic
  and tactical objectives.
• Partner with Product organization to align with their priorities and business success. Co-develop and own vision, objectives and roadmaps for the Engineering org.
• Evangelizing a mindset that keeps Customer outcomes at the center of
  everything.
• Engage with large customer base of 100+ large enterprise customers and 20+ partners driving product, roadmap and quarterly business reviews.
• Enable partnership and work closely with Pre-Sales, Sales, Customer
  Success and Product teams to influence and shape the customer
  experience of the product

Building an Enterprise Security solution for a next generation cloud. I have
worked closely with customers and have witnessed that existing enterprise
cloud security solutions lack context, are expensive and required a team of
security professionals to build and operate these solutions. Talos's goal was to democratize SecOps through a simple SaaS based deployment. Key
highlights -

• Existing cloud solutions lack a big picture context when flagging security alerts. Talos was architected to build context by layering various contexts on a graph DB, Neo4j
• Evaluated big data pipeline with stream processing, ETL and Data Warehouse and Data Lake solution on AWS Kinesis, Kinesis analytics, Athena, Glue and Lambda. This pipeline ingests various application logs, security logs and SaaS service logs and run real time stream processing
• Evaluated integrations with ITSM solutions Slack Bot, CI/CD pipelines like CircleCI, IaC infrastructure like Terraform
  Built out customer deck articulating solution, uses cases, deployment modes and benefits to enterprises.
• Pitched to Silicon Valley VCs and was able to bring 1 VC on board this vision.
• Narrowed MVP with discussions with over 25+ enterprise customers
  Solution was to cover infrastructure provider AWS, Azure and GCP and eventually SaaS clouds
• Eventfully ran out of time, took the hard and practical decision to move on.

Leading a passionate team (Sunnyvale, Poland & India) to build an enterprise
cloud security product. I led architecture and engineering to build and
deploy a highly scalable, distributed product

• API Security for microservices on EKS, GKE, unmanaged Kubernetes,
  VMWare and AWS EC2
• Solution built on Istio service mesh and Envoy
• Integrated 3rd part Data Los Prevention (DLP) engine for data tagging (PII, PHI) and data classification for data in flight.
• Data streaming pipeline for security log processing with FluentD, Kafka,
  Redis & Elastic Search
• Designed data exfiltration detection and prevention for AWS S3 using
  CloudTrail
• User Behavior Analytics (UBA) & Account Take Over (ATO) for cloud
  Identities
• Building out a robust software engineering practices including full CI/CD pipeline with CirclCi, IaC pipeline.
• Led an agile product development with Jira and ran Bi-Weekly sprints and daily standups.
• Oversaw MVP product launch and successful POC and production
  deployments.
• Led 3 major releases of product over 2 years

Chief Architect for Enterprise SDWAN and Cloud Security solution. Working
closely with Juniper Leadership, Product groups, Sales and Engineering
organization in building innovative SDWAN and enterprise branch security
products

• Owned architecture of Cloud based SDWAN Edge and integrated security
• Built orchestrator on Unmanaged Kubernetes using Kafka for ingestion and ELK stack for log processing and visibility
• Successfully transitioned branch security product to COTS based edge
  platform.
• Drove solution engineering by working closely with sales, competitive
  intelligence and product marketing teams
• Worked closely with Fortune500 customers and have a big picture
  perspective in driving solutions that meet customer needs
• Built and nurtured a first-class engineering team in Sunnyvale and
  Bangalore, mentoring and guiding the team to deliver world class solutions

Was the lead architect and engineering leader for Service Delivery Gateway
deployed at AT&T, Orange Business Service and many tier1 mobile service
providers. A blockbuster success in terms of quality, scale and features. Over 100m run rate just from AT&T

• Architect for Juniper L4-L7 Service Delivery Gateway (SDG)including ADC, IPS, IDS, SWG, CG-NAT including v6 transition technologies, Stateful Firewall, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) based security services.
• Architected and designed Juniper Services Virtualization Platform on
  Openstack & VMWare, creating Juniper SDN platform for L4-L7 services, and Mobile packet core.

Besides my day-to-day responsibilities, I also was a key member of

• Patent Review Committee that reviewed and approved patents across
  Business Unit

Various engineering roles including Architect, Senior engineer, Software
Engineer working on multiple flagship products include core routing, data
center switching, mobile packet core and edge computing.

• Designed and developed Juniper Mobile Packet Core Solutions including
  PGW-GGSN, SGW, TDF. Was a key technical leader and developer for this platform that addressed large scale (8M) subscribers and bandwidth (1TB)
• Designed and developed packet forwarding infrastructure for flag ship
  MX960 product for the areas of routing, data center switching, integrated routing. Extensive experience in Carrier, Metro and Ethernet Edge, Data Center use cases and deployments.
• Key member of team that built Ethernet core platform (the biggest success story in history of Juniper)
