Nancy Conrique

Working at an afterschool program for three months during high school was an incredible experience. I had the opportunity to engage with elementary school kids, helping them with their homework and leading fun activities like arts and crafts, sports, and group games. It taught me a lot about patience, communication, and problem solving, especially when resolving conflicts between kids or finding creative ways to keep them engaged. I also learned the importance of teamwork, as I worked alongside other staff members to create a positive, safe environment. Overall, it was a rewarding role that gave me valuable skills in leadership and working with children.
