Nancy Dupin

I am a Paramedic Registered Nurse with over 30 years of direct healthcare experience. Currently, I am employed in a regional referral hospital where I previously worked in the emergency department for 6 years. Presently I work in the Endoscopy Procedures area at the same facility. I had also previously worked as a Paramedic since 1999. As a paramedic, I worked at a high- volume EMS that frequently dealt with multiple critical patients on any given day. I was also the Health and Infection Control Officer at the EMS service.

• Patient Care - Ensured quality control through admissions, assessment, treatment and referral for a broad range of patients. Treated patients suffering from trauma, acute chest pain, respiratory failure and drug overdoses.
• Patient Education - Educated patients about medical procedure steps, recovery measures and medication instructions.
• Surgical Preparation - Prepared patients for surgery by performing screening tests, evaluating vitals and administering proper medication.
• Collaboration - Collaborated with physicians to plan and implement patient care.

I am a member of the Emergency Nurses Association.

I was named Paramedic of the Year once and was named Crew of the Year twice with my partner during my time in EMS.
