Summary

Experienced nursing professional bringing demonstrated clinical expertise, leadership skills and public speaking skills. Proficient in updating charts, monitoring medications and working with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Quality-driven and efficient with strong interpersonal abilities. Recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Master's in Science Graduate Nursing Program, part=time Family Nurse Practitioner track in December 2023. Ambitious, career-focused and driven future provider, anxious to obtain an NP Fellowship opportunity to help launch career while achieving company goals.

With 675 hours of clinical experience along an assigned preceptor at the following sites: Cano Health (45 hours) , Intermountain Healthcare (180 hours), Good Choice Pediatrics / UNLV Health- OBGYN (180) and Huntridge Family Clinic (270 hours).

During the Cano and Intermountain rotations, the patient population focus was older adults, this is my favorite population to serve, I was able to see how different health disparities affect the elderly, how as a primary care provider you can work directly in providing needed resources and can have a direct positive influence when placing patients needs first. During the pediatric rotation I was able to serve an 90% Hispanic population and saw first hand the need for bilingual providers to help with language barriers and education on pediatric health. During my OB rotation I was able to re-educate myself on prenatal health, what it means to different ages and ethnicities of women, the age ranges in which Moms are now giving birth and the different scenarios and emotions that occur with pregnancy and becoming a mother. During my final rotation I learned the true meaning of cultural competence; this particular clinic aims at providing overall primary care with a direct focus on the LQBTQIA+ community, aiming directly at providing gender affirming care through an unbiased lens. What my clinical rotations taught me the most is that every human being has the right to fair, unbiased, gender affirming, non-judgemental, equal, and safe medical care; with cultural consideration and evidence based practice guiding the best and most appropriate plan of care.
