After retiring six years ago, I kept my FL Teachers Certificate in the chance that I would long term sub again. I have chosen to go back to Saint Stephen's Episcopal School to substitute, in classes where needed, to keep in touch with students. Substitute teaching would be a compliment to my retirement.
I was the art teacher to open Annie Lucy Williams Elementary School in Parrish, FL. Nancy Beal was the Principal. When I retired in 2018, Connie Dixon was the Principal.
I was Moved to Palma Sola Elementary School, when the magnet status of Tillman was removed.
I was the visual arts teacher at Tillman Elementary Magnet School, and co-taught with Calvin Esaw, the digital art teacher.
I was asked to substitute teach at Saint Stephen's by Lucy Kodak, Kindergarten teacher, when teachers called for their subs. Then Judy Sutherland was in charge of subs. Cannot remember if Jen Sabo was calling subs in 2000. Then I got a Manatee County School Board job in 2001.
Jan Pullen was director of Lower School. I substituted in Pre K - Upper School, all subjects.
This art position I held while my husband was in graduate school at Virginia Tech University.
I managed the local gallery and frame shop, while my husband was in graduate school at East
Tennessee State University.
