
The Battle of Flowers Association is an educational and patriotic organization that annually presents an oratorical contest, band festival and parade in conjunction with Fiesta San Antonio. The Treasurer is charged with holding all funds of the organization, and paying bills and disbursing funds.
The Children's Chorus of San Antonio is a community-based non-profit organization which provides musical programs for children from infancy to 18 years old. I serve on the development committee.
Villa Finale: Museum and Gardens features extensive collections of 18th and 19th Century fine and decorative arts. It is Texas' first and only National Trust for Historic Preservation property. I continue to serve on the Board of Directors.
I served as a member of the Community Advisory Council of South Texas' Public Broadcasting Station KLRN.
Chosen to participate in Class XVI of the Masters Leadership Program,which annually selects approximately 50 proven leaders who have a desire to give back to the community,
I represented the San Antonio Conservation Society on this committee, which was charged with oversight of the nomination of the San Antonio Spanish Colonial Missions for UNESCO's World Heritage designation.
supervised all the business and affairs of this organization of 1600 members. The Society was founded in 1924 and is one of the oldest and largest historic preservation organizations in the country. I continue on the Board of DIrectors and am currently chairing the Strategic Planning Committee.
NIOSA is the country's largest celebration for preservation. In just four evenings this popular event draws more than 80,000 attendees and generates close to four million dollars in sales which benefit the San Antonio Conservation Society.
