I was responsible for gaining new clients and making sure existing clients needs were being met. I did this primarily through telephone calls and zoom conferences. This ended only when the CEO and founder died unexpectedly.
A a funeral director, I was on call to make removals nights and weekends. Holidays too. I met with families to make the arrangements for their loved ones. This includes filing all appropriate paperwork in a timely fashion. I was also responsible for writing the obituary and getting it published in the paper of the family's choice. I also would oversee the services and coordinate with the cemetery for burial and the crematorium for cremation. I also made sure the family's plants and flowers were moved according to the family's wishes. As an enbalmer, I was charged with caring for the body of a loved one. Meticulously focusing on every detail throughout the process. I also applied cosmetics when necessary and styled hair accordingly as well. I furthermore dressed the deceased and placed them in their casket. All while showing the upmost respect for the body of a loved one. As if the family was right beside me. I was also responsible for making sure the family s in touch with the appropriate person to get a marker for the grave.
I was responsible for making tasteful, safe removals. Most times with the family present. I then embalmed the body according to state and federal policies. I was also responsible for dressing, applying cosmetics and styling hair of the deceased. I then gently placed them in a casket. Doing all of this as if the family was standing right beside me.
