Modeling a Performance Parallel Hybrid in MATLAB & Simulink

- Created a vehicle powertrain model based on the market segment and intended use
- Calculated and plotted the performance characteristics of the engine and the electric motor and simulated different driving modes
- Integrated the electric motor and IC engine and determined the SOC of the battery across multiple drive cycle simulations
- Compared the MPG in hybrid and IC engine only mode
Run Down the Hill - Programming an Autonomous RC Car
(November 2021 – December 2021)
- Implemented signal sensing and feedback loop to control an RC car autonomously using Arduino Uno kit
- Performed sensor calibration using curve fitting and implemented PID to control throttle and steering

Final Year Project – Conversion of an 8-valve carbureted engine to a 16 valve MPFI engine with Performance Analysis
(May 2018)
- Carburetor to Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) conversion on a 1996 Maruti Suzuki Esteem
- Full engine rebuild with fuel injection conversion
- Stiffened suspension with reduced rebound and a short ratio gearbox with a higher final drive for improved acceleration
- Performance analysis of the carbureted engine vs MPFI with dynamometer graphs
Formula Bharat – Powertrain Department, Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore
(January 2018)
- Competed in the Formula Student competition organized by Formula Bharat and presented technical side of our design
- Specialized in the powertrain department, built a 1.3l Suzuki engine with a ported cylinder head for maximum airflow

- No Hydro and Full Hydro Combustion set up – Simulated the flow processes in a Port Fuel Injected (PFI) engine with performance analysis
- Emission Characterization of a CAT3410 Engine – Ran simulations for two different piston profiles in a CAT3410 engine with distinguished performance and emission analysis
- Prandtyl Meyer Shock – Generated shock waves for supersonic and subsonic flow with Neumann boundary conditions
- Steady and Transient State Simulation of Flow over a Throttle Body – Studied and simulated the flow of air over a throttle body in a bent pipe
