• Provide continuous monitoring of high risk patients via video monitoring.
• Provide enhanced observation of patients that are at risk for injury and maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers.
• Assist with direct patient care, including AM & HS care, toileting, ambulation, feeding, and oral care.
• Ensure pediatric safety by utilizing handrails, seat belts, and continuous observation.
• Never leave a patient unattended to minimize risks.
• Promptly intervene to soothe, redirect, or guide patients to prevent potential harm, and stay present unless relieved by a nurse or another staff member, even during procedures outside the unit.
