Hyattsville,MD

Summary

I am in the final year of my doctoral program at Howard University College of Medicine Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My genome informatics thesis, which includes technical bioinformatics components and a pleiotropy analysis, has practical applications in the healthcare sector. It utilizes short-read sequencing data from individuals diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and Essential Hypertension. I am seeking employment to apply my diverse Bioinformatics and Data science skills. My Bioinformatics skills include sequence alignment, variant calling, bash scripting for pipeline jobs, molecular modeling, and simulation. I also bring a robust foundation in data science, encompassing advanced data wrangling, sophisticated data visualization, programming using Python, and an introduction to machine learning.
