Spring 2020

Being a Student Aid for a third-grade classroom, I was in charge of grading assignments and interpreting during parent-teacher conferences. Additionally, I was able to build rapport and cultural competence, in addition to working in the school setting with developing children.

Interpreter at California State University Long Beach

Spring 2022

I was given the opportunity to interpret for Spanish-speaking clients in the Graduate Student clinic at California State University Long Beach. Through this opportunity, I observe sessions for Spanish-speaking clients in addition to building rapport and allowing them to feel welcomed in and during the session.
