• Directing end-to-end operations across electrical section as necessary to ensure that jobs assigned to Section are completed in

a manner that is in accordance to job & safety requirements

• Supervising site activity & reviewed project schedule, ensured cost control within budget including planning for cash flow

requirements & so on; formulating duty roster and assigning Foreman/Engineer & Supervisor for each ship/project

• Scrutinized reference sheets to assess scope of hull work in each project for purpose of manpower & facilities planning & also, if

necessary, to initiate procurement & or preparation of materials

• Leading basic & detailed engineering & site supervision activities; worked on various proposals for Design of Electrical

Distribution System, Design Calculations, Evaluation of Offers, Drawing Reviews & Equipment Inspection

• Discovering sub-contracted jobs & raising quotations in consultation with Project Manager; appointing subcontractors in

consultation with Project Manager to execute jobs for which lump sum quotation is not required or either are not practical

• Guiding Foreman/Engineer to perform the jobs on his vessel/project so that he can raise works orders to appointed

subcontractors

• Attending Daily Stemming Room Meeting; identifying problem area & matters & notifying section about action to be taken

• Examining quality & safety measures; highlighting matters & precautions to be taken on vessel/project to Foremen/Engineers &

Supervisors

• Ensuring that jobs are accomplished with budgeted man-hours for section; computing cost & man-hours of each job; provided feedback

to Estimating Section any discrepancy between actual & quoted man-hours, thereby enabling them to update their Tendering System

• Evaluated tender documents of trade; recommended estimator on time schedule, foreseeable problem areas or difficulties in

performing jobs
