2022 3Arts Awardee (Community Award)

The 3Arts Community Award is a prestigious recognition given by 3Arts, a nonprofit organization that supports artists in Chicago, particularly those from underrepresented groups. The award came with both financial support and visibility, helping me continue my work and reach broader audiences. Through this award, 3Arts not only acknowledged my individual artistic achievements but also my commitment to fostering community resilience, creativity, and cultural exchange.

For me, receiving the award was a recognition of his holistic approach to art—where creating work and building community are inseparable. The honor allowed me to further my mission of creating space for artists from historically marginalized backgrounds and contributing to a more inclusive and diverse artistic landscape.
