I created La Red sessions for the 2021 NAHJ Virtual Annual Conference. Thirteen journalists from Latin American and Caribbean countries, recognized for the quality of their work and the impact of their projects, were in charge of the first La Red Session. These sessions were a space in Spanish for the exchange of experiences between Latin American and Latinx journalists in the US: narrative innovation opportunities; creation and collective work to combat misinformation and myopic gaze; and above all, to think about networked, diverse, collaborative and cross-cultural journalism throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.
