Virginia Beach Leadership Workshop Staff
- Position is responsible for planning and implementing summer leadership workshops for middle school and high school students, and assisting with the leadership conference for student activity advisers.
- Develop and implement all program-related activities and functions to groups ranging from 5-25 students
individually and with co-instructors. Guide and teach a range of indoor and outdoor activities (recreational
games, sports, icebreakers, crafts, singing, theatrical performances), ensuring the safety and security of
attendees at all times.
-Monitor the well-being of each attendee and respond calmly and swiftly to incidents, such as behavioral
problems, illness or accidents, by strictly adhering to the staff’s protocol.
- Research current, innovative, and differentiated approaches to leadership training to meet the needs of a
diverse population of student leaders.
