Dedicated and driven Emergency Medical Services Chief with progressive leadership experience in healthcare and emergency response. Began my career in a long-term dementia care unit at the age of eighteen and advanced into EMS leadership through continued professional growth and commitment to patient care. Experienced in operational oversight, staff supervision, training, compliance, and high-acuity response. I also serve as a substitute teacher, demonstrating strong adaptability, communication, and leadership across diverse environments. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree to further strengthen administrative, clinical, and leadership expertise.
As EMS Chief, I oversee daily department operations, supervise personnel, and ensure continuous 9-1-1 coverage and operational readiness. I manage scheduling, training compliance, quality assurance, and policy implementation while maintaining adherence to state regulations and clinical standards. In addition to administrative leadership, I respond to emergency calls, support staff in the field, and uphold a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high-quality patient care.
As a substitute teacher, I assumed full classroom responsibilities in the absence of regular staff, implementing lesson plans and maintaining a structured learning environment for students from kindergarten through senior year of high school. My duties included taking attendance, ensuring student safety, utilizing school computer systems, maintaining classroom order, and providing instructional support to promote continued academic progress.
I provided Basic Life Support (BLS) care in a fire-based 9-1-1 EMS system serving a small community, including emergency response, mutual aid, and non-emergent transports. My responsibilities included patient assessment, treatment, and safe transport, as well as fire rehabilitation and maintaining scene safety. I conducted daily apparatus checks, ensured equipment readiness, and assisted with station operations to support continuous operational efficiency.
I administered comprehensive care to residents in a specialized dementia unit, assisting with daily living activities including grooming, dressing, feeding, and evening routines. In addition to addressing physical needs, I offered consistent emotional support and reassurance, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. I adhered to strict infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, appropriate PPE use, and routine testing, helping maintain a safe and protected environment for residents.
I delivered hands-on patient care in short-term, long-term, and secure units, supporting residents with activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and maintaining proper hydration. I obtained and monitored vital signs, completed accurate documentation, and ensured full compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards. This experience built a strong foundation in compassionate, high-quality care while enhancing my skills in clinical observation, medical terminology, and detailed charting.
I provided high-quality customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment by seating guests, taking orders, and preparing beverages and desserts. I processed cash and electronic payments using a point-of-sale system, assisted with large banquet events, and contributed to menu and drink specials. I maintained a clean and organized dining area while building strong customer relationships that resulted in repeat clientele.
Restaurant has since closed permanently.
