Testing

• Performed assays using various SOPs: USP compendia methods, European and Japanese Pharmacopeia, In-house methods and Client methods.
• Test samples consisted of consumer goods raw materials, in-process and finished products, specifically: food, supplements, OTC and prescription medications. Also ran tests on complaint samples from consumers and stability study samples. Performed a variety of assays for quantitative analysis of active ingredients in OTC products like Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Loperamide, Multi-actives with Phenylepherine HCl, Aspirin and supplements. Food ingredients such as caffeine in beverages and coffee. Raw materials such as sucralose, lecithin and progesterone.
• Prepared and Standardized test solutions, reagents, mobile phase, and dissolution media pertaining to monograph testing. Extracted and prepared test samples using various methods for laboratory testing and analysis. Using pipettes and micropipettes to perform dilutions into Erlenmeyer flasks.
• Raw material testing included titrations as well as determination of toxicity such as heavy metals, arsenic, and lead.

SOPs/Documentation

• Documented all processes and data analysis during experiments, keeping meticulous notes of unexpected changes. Reported on findings to supervisor. Document all test preparations, reagents, media, and solution preparations in appropriate laboratory notebooks according to GMP guidelines.
